Reliable scoring of the Rey Complex Figure and Recognition Trial is a trained skill, not a read-through

This will be a two hour workshop covering the scoring the 18 scoring items on the RCFT. Each scoring item will be discussed and demonstrated. the scoring criteria of the 1/4 inch and 1/8 inch rules will be discussed in detail. We will also cover the Recognition Trial.

Most scoring drift on the RCFT happens quietly — in how placement error is judged, in how a distorted-but-present element gets coded, in how examiners choose between 0.5 and 1. This session is built to close that gap through guided, side-by-side practice rather than lecture alone.

This workshop will contain a hands on scoring practice as we progress through the workshop. Each participant is requested to bring their own ruler and pencil to use in the scoring practice.

Continuing Education: 2 CE Credits for workshop/webinar. Through the American College of Professional Neuropsychology (ACPN). 1. Be able to correctly administer the Rey Complex Figure
  2. Be able to correctly administer the Recognition Trial.
  3. Be able to score all of the 18 elements of the RCFT and correctly score the Recognition Trial.
